Convert at the rate you are actually settled at
Convert a list price in CNY into your own currency using the rate you actually settle at, not a rate quoted for reference.
Currency conversion result
2,000.00 CNY converts to 280.40 USD at your rate.
The rate that counts is the one on your own settlement line: this page converts the number you type and treats it as your rate, not as a quote for today.
How the calculation runs
Parameters and the date they were checked
Parameters checked 2026-10-06. The defaults on this page are the values we recorded when we last read the relevant pages, and they are listed with the same date on the sources page. Change any rate, fee or day count and the tool labels itself manual, so a figure you supplied is never mistaken for one we recorded.
Three ways to use it
- Read the rate off your own card statement or bank receipt rather than a search result: the statement rate is the one that was actually applied to you.
- Type the card or bank fee you were charged as a percentage; leave it at 0 if you were charged nothing, so the effective rate equals the stated rate.
- Convert once in each direction when a number looks wrong: a rate pasted in the wrong direction is the most common mistake this page sees.
Questions this tool gets
Which rate is the right one for me?
The rate that appears on the settlement line of your card or bank statement for a comparable amount. Reference rates published by search engines and by platforms differ from the rate applied to a small personal transaction, and the gap widens on weekends when markets are closed.
What does the effective rate add?
A card fee is charged on top of the conversion, so the rate you effectively paid is the stated rate multiplied by one plus that fee. Showing it separately means you can compare two cards without redoing the arithmetic: a card with a lower headline rate and a higher fee can lose to one with the reverse.
Where it stops being reliable
Boundaries and exceptions
- A rate of zero or above 100 is rejected: the rate input means 1 CNY in the target currency, so it cannot sit outside that band.
- An amount above 1,000,000 is flagged with a suggestion to split the conversion, because the rate that applies to a large transfer is usually not the rate you were quoted for a small one.
- A card fee of zero is legitimate and common; the tool then prints the stated rate as the effective rate rather than inventing an average.
- The tool converts a number. It does not fetch today’s rate and does not claim that a rate you type in is current as of any date.
Stops that use this number
- Stop 3: Pay for the item — Item payment and freight payment are two separate moments. Most closed doors close at the first one.
Readings behind it
- Joyagoo coupons and credits: which line they hit — A coupon or a credit lands on one of eight lines; the other seven are still yours to pay.
- Joyagoo first haul at $100, $300 and $600 — A $100 haul is settled by packing shape, not by which items you picked.
Other tools: all nine. The reading protocol and the cost waterfall are the two tools that exist only on this site.
